Basics
Tarountula is a Bug-type Pokémon. Its 100% IV CP is 326 at level 20 (raids, eggs and research), 408 at weather-boosted level 25 and up to 646 at level 50. It is weak to Fire/Flying/Rock attacks (1.6×). It resists Grass/Fighting/Ground attacks. In raids, Bug Bite + X-Scissor is its strongest moveset (level 40, 100% IVs). It evolves into Spidops with 50 Candy. As your buddy, it earns 1 Candy every 1 km you walk together.

- How to read IVs and appraisalsIVs run from 0 to 15 for each of Attack, Defense and HP, and appraisal stars are set by the sum of the three (0–45).
- What to power up first (power-up priorities for beginners)Stardust is limited, so first power up strong counters you'll use for a long time across many raids.
- Choosing IVs for PvP (low Attack wins in Great and Ultra League)In leagues with a CP cap, the lower the Attack IV, the higher you can level up within the same CP, which makes Defense and HP bigger.
