Basics
Trapinch is a Ground-type Pokémon. Its 100% IV CP is 728 at level 20 (raids, eggs and research), 910 at weather-boosted level 25 and up to 1,441 at level 50. It is weak to Water/Grass/Ice attacks (1.6×). It resists Poison/Rock/Electric attacks. In raids, Sand Attack + Scorching Sands is its strongest moveset (level 40, 100% IVs). It evolves into Vibrava with 25 Candy. As your buddy, it earns 1 Candy every 5 km you walk together.

Trapinch's nest is a sloped, bowl-like pit dug in sand. This Pokémon patiently waits for prey to tumble down the pit. Its giant jaws have enough strength to crush even boulders.

- How to read IVs and appraisalsIVs run from 0 to 15 for each of Attack, Defense and HP, and appraisal stars are set by the sum of the three (0–45).
- What to power up first (power-up priorities for beginners)Stardust is limited, so first power up strong counters you'll use for a long time across many raids.
- Choosing IVs for PvP (low Attack wins in Great and Ultra League)In leagues with a CP cap, the lower the Attack IV, the higher you can level up within the same CP, which makes Defense and HP bigger.
