In 3 lines
- With Adventure Sync on, distance you walk with the game closed also counts, using the records in your phone's health app.
- Every Monday at 9:00 a.m. (local time), you get rewards for the 5 km, 25 km and 50 km tiers based on the distance you walked in the past 7 days.
- Reaching a longer tier also gives you the shorter tiers' rewards, and the 25 km and 50 km tiers add one bonus: Rare Candy, Silver Pinap Berries or an Egg.
How to turn it on
- Turn on 'Adventure Sync' in Settings.
- Allow access to your phone's health app ('Health' on iPhone). Distance is counted from the step records stored in this app.
- With it on, distance you walk while the game is fully closed also counts toward hatching Eggs and earning buddy Candy (Egg hatching guide, Buddy Pokémon guide).
Weekly rewards
You get them every Monday at 9:00 a.m. (local time), based on the distance you walked in the past 7 days. Reaching a longer tier gives you the shorter tiers' rewards too.
| Tier | Always included | Plus one of |
|---|---|---|
| 5 km | Poké Balls | — |
| 25 km | Great Balls, Stardust | Rare Candy · Silver Pinap Berries · 5 km Egg |
| 50 km | Ultra Balls, Stardust and more | Rare Candy · Silver Pinap Berries · 10 km Egg |
Quantities change over time, so different sources list different amounts. Check the exact amounts on the game's weekly progress screen. You only get an Egg if you have an empty Egg slot.
Don't miss the Egg
- Free up one Egg slot before 9:00 a.m. on Monday. If your slots are full, you can't get the Egg reward.
- Tap an Egg to see which Pokémon can hatch from it, grouped by rarity (works for every Egg).
Checklist
- Turn on Adventure Sync in Settings
- Allow health app access
- Free up one Egg slot before Monday morning
