In 3 lines
- In a Max Battle, you spend Max Particles at a Power Spot to fight a Dynamax Pokémon. Win, and you can catch that Dynamax Pokémon.
- You can collect up to 800 Max Particles a day and hold up to 1,500, and a 1-star Max Battle costs 250.
- Only Pokémon that can Dynamax can join Max Battles, and they're concentrated on Max Monday every Monday (06:00–21:00 local time).
What are Max Battles?
Max Battles take place at Power Spots that appear on the map. Fight and defeat a Dynamaxed boss to get a chance to catch that Dynamax Pokémon. Up to 4 players can fight together at once.
Max Particles
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Most you can collect per day | 800 |
| Most you can hold | 1,500 |
| Joining a 1-star Max Battle | 250 |
| Max Particle Pack (item) | Adds 800 |
- Tap a Power Spot to collect them. You can also collect them by walking.
- Higher-tier Max Battles cost more.
- Events sometimes add bonuses like '2× Max Particles from Power Spots'. Check Events.
Pokémon to send in
- Only Pokémon that can Dynamax can be used in Max Battles. Usually these are Dynamax Pokémon you caught in Max Battles.
- When the meter fills during battle, your Pokémon Dynamaxes and uses Max Moves (attack, defense or healing). You can level up Max Moves with Candy and Max Particles.
- It's a good idea to prepare Pokémon that hit the boss's weakness types along with sturdy defensive Pokémon that last a long time.
Max Monday
Every Monday from 06:00 to 21:00 local time, a featured Dynamax Pokémon shows up at lots of Power Spots. The featured Pokémon is posted in the Max Monday entry on Events.
