In Shadow Raids, calm the boss with Purified Gems when it gets enraged. They're harder than regular raids of the same tier. Player counts estimate the damage one player deals within the time limit by sending in six Pokémon one after another, so weather and friend bonuses can lower them.

Easy-to-get countersFor beginners

Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, Mega and Shadow Pokémon are excluded, and only currently learnable moves are used. Community Day and event moves (exclusive moves) make them stronger.

How we calculate

  • Attackers are level 40 with 15/15/15 IVs. Shadow Pokémon get ×1.2 Attack and ×0.83 Defense.
  • 'Easy-to-get Pokémon' is re-ranked without Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, Mega and Shadow Pokémon and without exclusive moves that can't be learned now.
  • Players needed = boss HP ÷ the damage one player deals within the time limit by sending in the six recommended Pokémon one after another (1 s per switch, 15 s to rejoin after all faint). Beginner teams are level 25 with 30% loss, experienced teams level 40 with 15% loss. A team can include only one Mega or Primal Pokémon, so experienced teams use only one Mega.
  • Damage taken scales with the boss's Attack (base Attack × tier multiplier). 1-star bosses hit much more weakly.
  • Damage per hit is ⌊0.5 × power × Attack / boss Defense × STAB 1.2 × effectiveness⌋ + 1. Move power, duration and energy are the game master's raid values.
  • DPS is estimated over one cycle of charging energy with the Fast Attack and using the Charged Attack, including energy gained from taking hits. TDO is the damage dealt before fainting.
  • Boss moves can't be known in advance, so survival time assumes moves of the boss's own types. Ranking is by (DPS³ × TDO)^¼.
  • Weather boost, friend bonuses and dodging are not included. The same Pokémon can rank very differently with different moves.
  • Checked 2026-10-31. Boss list from LeekDuck (via ScrapedDuck), move lists from PvPoke, move stats from the game master (PokeMiners). * marks an exclusive move.
